I am having a hard time thinking of a baby girls name?

I am white and my husband is mexican. We are having a hard time deciding on our second daughters name. We want a name that both sides of the family can pronounce. We have a one year old daughter named Olivia already.

I am having a hard time thinking of a baby girls name?
I'm naming my daughter Olivia Dailah. (pronounced Daylah)

I have a 7 yr old named Elizabeth. Maybe you could name her Elisabeth and call her Elisa. I think Elizabeth and Olivia go good together.
Reply:Michaelina... Mikayla... or any variant of same.

1) If you name your little girl after this powerful archangel, both sides of the family will be pleased, as everyone likes what St. Michael stands for (loyal, intelligent, a leader, and willing to fight for what's right).

2) Probably both sides of the family have a Michael whom they admire, and EVERY culture has a version of Michael, so they will not feel alienated by a strange name.

3) Finally, it's a very pretty name without being sissy, and your daughter will always be happy with it. Cheers!
Reply:Hello!

First of all congratulations with your little girl! I just love thinking up names and this one really is a challlenge! I thought up a few names that I THINK both sides should be able to pronounce:

Carmen (pronounced like it is spelt so should be simple)

Maria or Marie

Sara

Cara or Carina

Alyssa

Clio

Phoebe (not sure about this one but I love the name!)

Corina

Serena

Sorcha

Brenna (my name!)

I hope this helps - just try getting your husband to say them and yourself and see which one you like best (if any) good luck and congratulations!

Love Brenna xxxxxx

I wanted to name my child this (Just had a baby April 18th, 2008)

Ended p that it was a boy instead of a girl-so Michael became his name.

Maven is nice-feminine-but strong also.
